SUMMARY:ACP Monthly Airport Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:June 4 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm\n\n\n\nJoin us: \n\nDate: June 4\, 2026\nTime: 11:00 AM\nLocation: Zoom\n\nGuest Speakers: \nDavid Heath\, Principal\, BBP Solutions \n\nRene Diehl\, Principal\, 1812 Strategies\n\nTopic: The AIR Act and What That Means for Your Airport \nJoin Zoom Meeting\nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/86937459381 \nMeeting ID: 869 3745 9381 \nThe Pennsylvania Aviation Investment and Reform Act\, or AIR Act\, led by Senator Dan Laughlin\, is a proposal to create a dedicated\, long term investment strategy for aviation across the Commonwealth. Built upon the findings of the TAC Transportation Funding Study and extensive data backed research\, the AIR Act is designed to support both Pennsylvania’s largest commercial service airports and its smallest community airports. \nThis is not simply about raising additional revenue to support existing programs. The AIR Act is about reforming the way Pennsylvania approaches aviation investment by creating a more sustainable\, transparent\, and flexible system that benefits the entire aviation ecosystem. \nThe legislation focuses on strengthening infrastructure\, improving safety\, supporting workforce development\, advancing emerging aviation technologies\, and ensuring aviation generated revenues are reinvested directly back into aviation. A key component of the AIR Act is that a significant portion of funding is tied proportionally to airport specific contributions\, ensuring airports see direct value and reinvestment tied to the activity and revenue generated within their own communities. \nThis roundtable discussion will provide a high level overview of the AIR Act\, what the proposal could mean for your airport\, and how the legislation is intended to address many of the challenges airports are facing today\, from infrastructure and local match burdens to workforce development and future aviation technology integration. \nMost importantly\, this discussion is about engagement. Attendees will learn how airports\, aviation businesses\, and industry stakeholders can help support the legislation and play a role in helping see it through to the finish line. \nWe encourage all aviation stakeholders to join the conversation and be part of shaping the future of aviation in Pennsylvania.
