Aviation Advisory Committee

About the Pennsylvania AAC

The Pennsylvania Aviation Advisory Committee (AAC) serves as a key advisory body supporting the Commonwealth’s aviation system. Established under the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the Committee provides guidance to the Governor, the General Assembly, the Secretary of Transportation, and the State Transportation Commission on matters affecting aviation across Pennsylvania.

Recognizing the significant role aviation plays in economic growth and community development, the AAC also offers recommendations to the Secretary of Community and Economic Development. Through its work, the Committee helps ensure that aviation interests are aligned with statewide economic opportunities.

The AAC’s mission is to advance the public interest, strengthen Pennsylvania’s aviation network, and promote continued aeronautical development throughout the Commonwealth.
