Student Scholarships

APPLICATION FOR ACP’S 2026 AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Our Mission is to assist applicants in the attainment of their aviation career goals. Scholarship award levels range from $1,000 or greater per scholarship, as funds become available.

Scholarships Available:

  1. AVIATION TECHNOLOGY: Includes airframe and powerplant maintenance, avionics, and aerospace engineering
  2. AVIATION MANAGEMENT (the Wilfred M. “Wiley” Post Scholarship) : Includes management of airlines, airports, FBOs, flight schools, and air traffic control.
  3. PROFESSIONAL PILOT (the John W. “Reds” Macfarlane and the Arnold Palmer Scholarships): Includes training for career opportunities related to actually flying aircraft.

Eligibility: Applicants must be Pennsylvania residents. Applicants may attend school outside of Pennsylvania. Applicant may be enrolled in any of the following: a two- or four-year college program, a master’s degree program, a flight training program, or an aviation technology program. Applicants for the Professional Pilot Scholarship shall hold at least a Student Pilot Certificate and have soloed an aircraft.

Distribution of Scholarship Awards: Scholarship recipients will be notified by email or phone and by mail. Scholarship funds will be made co-payable to the scholarship winner and the organization where the applicant will be utilizing the scholarship funds. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the organization where the funds are to be utilized. Scholarship funds shall be returned to the Aviation Council if the applicant does not begin utilizing the funds within 120 days of receipt of the same.
